The Hampsons Hedge Blue - The upper sides of the wings of males do not have have the prominent white patches of the Common Hedge Blue. The undersides are very similar.
The Ceylon Hedge Blue - It lacks the gray lunular line above the submarginal spots on the underside of the hind wing.
The Plain Hedge Blue - The background colour of the under sides is gray, not white. The upper sides do not have the white markings and the black border on the outer margins are entirely absent.
The Singalese Hedge Blue - The largest of the Hedge Blues and the males are very light blue on the upper sides. Post discal row of spots on underside forewing very regular and evenly placed.
The White Hedge Blue - The palest of the hedge blues, almost white on the upper sides and the markings very faint on the underside. No lunular grey line above the submarginal spots on the underside of the hind wing.
